Press release: Olympia Athlete’s Earn Gymnastic Scholarships
Olympia Gymnastic Academy is home to Seniors, Brittany Petzold, & Lauren Bledsoe from Shelby Michigan. Coached by Lori Koch and Deanna Sigler, Petzold and Bledsoe train 20-25 hours a week, and attend Eisenhower High school. This past Tuesday, November 18 th, Petzold and Bledsoe signed full ride gymnastic scholarship letters of intent, in the midst of their piers and coaches her at Olympia Gymnastics Academy in Shelby Township. The girls have participated in gymnastics from a very young age and had dreams of attending a University, not only for academics but also as college gymnast. Both Petzold and Bledsoe have received numerous awards, and have participated in competitions through out the state of Michigan, as well as regionally and nationally. Excited to receive full ride gymnastic scholarships, Brittany Petzold will be signing with Central Michigan University, and Lauren Bledsoe will be signing with Western Michigan University. We are very proud of these two athlete’s and look forward to our 2010 meet season, as they both compete as level 10 gymnasts. A more extensive article was featured in The Macomb Daily.
